“DON’T JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER” (NOT FOR ME).
I always had a fascination with book covers and was never a believer of that saying. If I were at my favorite section in a bookstore, (discounting the fact that the choices in front of me do not include any of my beloved authors) I would pick two to three books, in mere seconds, without batting an eye. That’s how fast I can decide which to stockpile beside me. In an instant, I’d go for covers with designs that grab attention or have a look that makes one feel safe, or merely which appears similar to the type of books I buy. As soon as I have got a small heap, of course, I will carefully read through descriptions, endorsements, and whatever else written at the back of the book. I’d usually check what the book promises, what other people say about it, and if the author seems reliable. These will be some determining factors whether I’d purchase a book or not.
